"You, Me and Dupree": July 14th 2006, PG-13, 108mins, Universal Pictures

summary:
Carl and Molly Peterson (Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson) are just starting their new life together. Carl’s oldest friend and perpetual bachelor has found himself with nowhere to go after being fired. Carl yanks his jobless/homeless pal out of the bar he’s living in and invites him to temporarily crash on the couch - that’s just what friends do. At first, Carl is quite pleased to have his good buddy as a permanent couch guest, but he soon finds it harder and harder to juggle Dupree and his responsibilities as a husband. As this pot is set to boil everything comes crashing around; making this one funny comedy.

my thoughts:
You know, I will probably never get sick of Owen Wilson. Ya, his style of comedy is misused in a few comedies, but he totally fits this roll as an easy going bachelor. He saves this comedy and makes it actually watch able. The chemistry between Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson isn't very good to start off with, and Matt Dillon’s character seems to over react to everything around him (I personally don't think matt Dillon is any good as an actor at all) So, this movie started good, didn't flow well through the middle and had a really funny ending. All in all it is a movie to see at home only, DO NOT go see this movie in the theaters. (Unless you are with your date)

recommended audience: couples, newlyweds, teenagers and owen wilson fans.

CHICK FLICK RATING: 3.5 out of 5 (1 is 100% action and no romance, 5 is no action but 100% romance)
reasons:  -the jokes involving owen wilson bring the action points into play
          -it is a chick flick/comedy

MY RATING: 6.7 out of 10
reasons:  -the movie draged on in the middle
          -no chemestry between actors
-Matt Dillon is a bad actor
