"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift": June 16th 2006, PG-13, 90mins, Universal Pictures

summary:
To avoid jail time because of some dangerous tomfoolery involving illegal street races, Sean Boswell (Black) is sent to live with his gruff, estranged father, a career military-man stationed in Tokyo. He then, through some more tomfoolery, gets into the local drift racing ring. The movie gets even more interesting involving the Yakusa while Sean slowly rises to be the best drift racer around.

my thoughts:
Funny thing about drift racing and why it looks so cool in real life; it's the uncontrollable nature of it.  Take that away and you have 90 minutes of controlled cars sliding around. Don't get me wrong, for the first 40 minutes its ok, but 90 minutes of slow drifting kind of gets on your nerves. Also they should have picked their main local better, given that the main race was in California (they don't tell you that, but I am pretty convinced that it is) OH!! Another thing that annoyed me about this movie, the action directing wasn't very good, it didn't seem that the characters were even driving...

recommended audience: anyone who is totaly obsesed with cars and doesn't mind seeing a boring movie.

CHICK FLICK RATING: 1.5 out of 5 (1 is 100% action and no romance, 5 is no action but 100% romance)
reasons:  -the whole basis of this movie is the main character's family (romance related and kids)
-the only real action in this movie is the pressing of the remote

MY RATING: 6 out of 10
reasons:  -I took away some points because of the extreem predictableness of the plot           -just the mear fact that the main character would ever ignore his wife when his wife is Kate B
