summary:
Pixar Animation Studios ("The Incredibles," "Finding Nemo," "Monsters, Inc."), and Academy AwardŽ-winning director John Lasseter
("Toy Story," "Toy Story 2," "A Bug's Life"),
hit the road with a fast-paced comedy adventure set inside a world populated by sentient cars.
Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson), a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed,
finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the town of Radiator Springs.
Living the Slow paced small town life forces him on an inward journey to descovering what life really is about .

my thoughts:
The world Pixar Animation Studios created in "Finding Nemo" and "Monsters, Inc."
has been created yet again in a movie featuring cars as the central species.
'Cars' wasn't overly sappy but still had good moral value to it and a nice even plot . Also it
doesn't get too complicated making it appealing to most ages. At the same time though what I didn't like
was the fact that the director was trying to get that whole pixar-main character realizes his faults and
changes for the better thing out too quickly making the movie feel a little lack in story.
All in all it's a good movie, but pixar and John Lasseter have definetly done better.
Recommended audience: Anyone who doesn't mind an animated movie featuring cars who can talk.
CHICK FLICK RATING: 3 out of 5 (1 is 100% action and no romance, 5 is no action but 100% romance)
reasons: -not a huge amount of action but there was alot of racing
-not only about the main romantic interest, but it still plays a major role
-lots of supporting cast making the main romantic interest less dominating
MY RATING: 7.5 out of 10
reasons: -it is a good movie, but lacks a sense of believability in the whole car senteintness
(not a big deal)
-the progress made in the movie is made too easily and thus is a tiny bit unrealistic.
-the fact that the main character is a car takes the romantic interest down a notch because of
a lack of believability
